“Oh, I’m sorry to hear that.” And he was. He knew how people could be dangerous and he didn’t blame her. He nodded. “Yes, I do. I actually have a shop in town.” He blinked and gave a low whistle. “Three moonrises? That’s pretty far.” he smiled again. “You’ve been here often, then… It’s the first time I found this place. I like it, too.”
“What kind of shop do you have?” she asked curiously. He resembled nothing she had ever seen, so it was tough for her to imagine what his occupation would be. “It is rather far… But I enjoy the trip. This is one of my favorite places. It is rather likeable, is it not?” Syrena smiled.
He smiled back at her. “It is. It’s beautiful, probably one of the most beautiful places in Wonderland… Your trip, it’s almost all underwater, right?” He indicated his hat. ” I run a hat shop. A little thing, but it’s nice~”
“It is. I prefer it that way.” But, her curiosity was growing. Wonderland sounded interesting. She wanted to see more. “What kind of hats do you sell? I should like to see some.” She grinned.
He nodded. “It must be beautiful underwater.” He spread his arms out wide. “All kinds of hats! If you can dream or think it, I can make it!” he was passionate about his work for more than one reason. It was truly something he loved to do. “I would be more than happy to show you some! I could bring them here for you to see…” He felt awkward saying that, partially because he didn’t know if mermaids could live outside of water with a sea witches’ spell.
